ITINERARY

Day 1

One way flight from London to Prague. Stay for 2 nights.

Day 2

Free day based in Prague. We provide a city transport pass to help you explore what many believe is the unspoilt jewel in Europe's historic crown. Take time to stroll over the Charles Bridge which spans the Vltava river and through Wenceslas Square.

Day 3

Leaving Prague after breakfast a short journey on a regional service will bring you to Plzen for a 2-night stay. The town is the capital of West Bohemia and home to the Škoda Engineering group as well as the famous Pilsner brewery. It may not be a well-known fact that Škoda build locomotives as well as cars. Free afternoon to explore the attractive old town.

Day 4

Free day based in Plzen. Explore further or take a local train for the short journey to Marienbad, a spa town in the Slavkov Forest. Famous visitors in history to the town include King Edward VII, Kaiser Franz Josef I and Frank Kafka. The town has a wealth of art nouveau architecture.

Day 5

By rail after breakfast for the journey over the border into Bavaria. Our destination today is Nuremberg. For many centuries the city was where most German kings resided but in recent years it has become synonymous with the war crimes tribunals held after WWII. Stay 2 nights in Nuremberg. Your hotel will provide a local public transport ticket which is valid on buses and trams. This ticket covers a wide area and will take you as far as Fürth.

Day 6

Free day based in Nuremberg with your transport pass. Make time for a visit to Deutsche Bahn Museum. The first trains in Germany ran from here to Fürth.

Day 7

Leaving late morning a short journey will take you to Munich for a 2-night stay. Check into your hotel and enjoy a leisurely afternoon sightseeing.

Day 8

Free day based in Munich where most of the main sights in the city can be found in the Altstadt.

Day 9
