A fabulous 15-day holiday that will allow you to sample the many wonders South Africa has to offer from its precious natural resources, unforgettable game reserves to the incredible panoramas viewed from the elegant comfort of your train journey from Pretoria to Cape Town. You will be beguiled by the contrasting landscapes offered by Kruger National Park to the breath-taking coastal beauty surrounding Cape Town.

ITINERARY

Day 1

Depart UK today on your chosen flight and airport for Johannesburg, SA.

Day 2

On your arrival, you will be met and taken on a private sightseeing tour of Johannesburg and the surrounding area before you check in at your overnight hotel located in Pretoria.

Day 3

This morning you will be met by your local guide and taken on a tour of Pretoria. After lunch continue with the same guide and driver to the Cullinan Diamond Mine, currently owned by De Beers, and is the source of some of the world's largest gemstones including the Cullinan, Premier Rose, Niarchos, the Centenary and the Golden Jubilee. Return to your hotel for the night.

Day 4

Transfer back to the airport where you board a flight to Kruger National Park for a 4-night safari stay – a great area to view Africa's wild animals. Settle into your cabin and join a late evening game drive before returning for dinner.

Day 5 to 7

With a professional team of game rangers on hand to offer you the thrill of close encounters with Africa's BIG FIVE, guided Walking safaris or Birding safaris you will be spoilt for choice in what to do first. If the weather is too hot and the wildlife is sheltering under shady trees, you too can stay cool at your air conditioned Safari Lodge complete with pool.

Day 8

Time to leave and explore more of this wonderful country. You will be transferred back to Kruger Airport for your flight back to Johannesburg. Overnight in Pretoria.

Day 9

Free morning before a transfer to the railway station for your onward journey to Cape Town on the luxury Blue Train. The moment you board the air-conditioned BlueTrain, you step into a world that recaptures the long lost elegance of luxury train travel and the personalized service of a bygone era where all meals are served during your journey including high tea in the Lounge Car and evening meal in the Dining Car.

Day 10

After a full day travelling and eating onboard this wonderful train, you arrive into Cape Town late afternoon. Once again you will be met on arrival and transferred to your hotel which is located in the attractive Victoria and Alfred Waterfront area of the city.

Days 11 and 12

Included in your Cape Town stop will be a 2-day 'Hop on Hop off' open top double decker bus tour. The Red Route has 17 stops, including the V&A waterfront, Two Oceans Aquarium, Table Mountain Cableway, SA Museums, District Six Museum, St Georges Cathedral and Camps Bay Beach, whilst the Blue Route has 13 stops, including Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, World of Birds, Hout Bay, Sea Point and Groot Constantia. The Blue Route includes a free wine tour in the oldest wine-making region in South Africa and a 1-night tour that includes Cape Town's famous sunset over the Atlantic Ocean.

Day 13

Free day to catch up on any last minute shopping.

Day 14

Today you will be transferred to the airport for your overnight flight to the UK.

Day 15

Arrival into the UK at your choice of arrival airport.
